im using s13, so are a lot of members. you just get less neg off set as you run them 180deg around compared to in an s13.
you could have them macined out as one member did so that they could get more neg camber out of them in a 1200. you might have to do this to the tops thought do the studs come through ![]() my old set up rotated 90 deg so it gets camber and castor adjustment. ![]() basiacally the shock strut thread only comes up half way into the bearing, the shanked or stepped nut then comes down into the bearing to clamp the thread on the shocker

Anyone got any photos?
I'd be interested to see exactly what the setup is. Got a fair idea but photos would make it clearer for all! The S13 ones are amazingly cheap so I reckon I'll end up using a set eventually.

mitch you are probably thinking of standard rubber lined strut tops that only have a 3mm steel cup that the shock shaft has to go through , now you have a bearing that is 18 or 19mm thick to go through thats why you are supplied with a stepped nut much like a mag wheel nut as the previous reply has stated , it also says in the ebay add that if the instalation is beyond your capabilities to seek profesional help , im sure it will fit with the right spacer and step nut even if they have to be custom machined to suit your components

hey guys
I bought some camber tops off ebay stating they for datsun 1600 1200 and s13 and they have a 18mm internal ID , anyway i recieved them last week to find out they dont fit? Im pretty sure i have 180b struts in my car according to a couple of you guys helping me out on this forum(thanks)! i knew the internal ID would be right but i can get that modified so that didnt worry me but the thread on the top of the strut isnt long enough to go through to the nut on the camber top! Does anyone know how to fix this? if worst comes to worst if i change my struts to stanza will i have the same problem?? heres a link to the tops on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... &ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT thanks mitch You can view topic.
