The SSS has a stout manifold just like the one pictured previously (measured against the bprojects one)and the air-box is slimmer than a L-series SSS one, so that's why they had clearance as everything was slim.

Get some pictures up Rhys.

He has the carb and manifold. I still have no idea how it could be hitting the strut tower, since the 1200 SSS's had a huge airbox and still had a bit of room. Dunno how long the SSS manifold was, at least 100mm.

If you don't have it yet, how do you know it won't fit?

Looks like a re-branded Warneford out of UK

Maybe if its a round port its for a 1000, no strut to hit there.

He only has the one carb. It's the single sidedraft redline manifold.

I didn't think they were THAT long. Pretty sure the bprojects manifold is deeper than 120mm and they still manage to fit.

EDIT: Bpro manifold is about 110mm maybe less. Still clears on datsun B120 with the socks crushed down a little, trumpets clear fine. Sounds like your manifold comes out much further than 120mm Rhys?

You have the wrong manifold. Here's Dellorto 40s on a Datsun 1200 (using a more appropriate manifold):
