agreed... I would pay someone any day on here for their time.. id love someone who's done an air con setup using aftermarket to help recommend and or fabricate brackets for the alternator style sanden compressors or build up an aftermarket kit!

I just had a play with the members search engine and used the occupation filter with some success.
This of course relies on people putting usefuil information in this box. I spose if you want work, then putting your trade in here will help.
This mostly resolves my suggestion about the trades bit, but something that manages the "development" ideas would still be great.

I'd give my money to someone on here anyday rather than to the mechanic down the street.

Just an idea.

Would people be prepared to list any developments that they have done and are prepared to share with the comunity as well as trades.
It could origionally be Datsun related only and if successful, could be expanded to include non Datsun stuff. IE a members computer shop (if thats their trade)

Examples i can think of now include.
Clyons8 recent templates for the 4age ITBs injection setup.
The Sigma brake setup (dont know who developed this)
BigeE - performance engine reconditioning parts supply
etc etc.

Not a how to, thats what the wiki is for.
Just a contact point so that people can look for services they want or the originator of an idea.

Something like
Project - 4AGE ITB setups and flanges.
Details - flanges for ITB setups for injection to the A series using toyota 4age ITBs.
Contact - Clyons8 (Datsun1200.com)

Trade - Panel beater (qualified)
Area - Brisbane, QLD, Australia
Details - Panel shop in Brisbane QLD, Australia, specilising in restoration and rust repairs
Contact - BillyBob (Datsun1200.com)

Personally I prefer to give work to people I know and trust for work. Hec if you have to give the money to someone, it might as well be someone you know.
Ive often thought, "who on 1200.com is a specilist in this area or who developed this setup" as I have questions about it.

It could be listed under the classified section, and then seperate folders again for each trade.
Its not designed to be a chat area, just a reference.
Alternativly it could be listed in the wiki if thats more apropriate.
