Its been said but:

Contact Tech Section at Welshpool and explain you want to fit a A15 (dont mention cams, carbies) into a 1200 ute. You dont have to mention the brakes if you dont want to, Tech section may just tell you the brakes need to be upgraded. Or tell them you have fitted 120y Brakes as these are direct swap and compatable to the 1200.

Tech section will approve your engine, swap and list what requirements it must meet. For example they will probally state that you need a catalytic convertor installed and the factory carbon canister setup for the 1200 installed.

They will state what the engineer needs to certify, sometimes tech section ask for a brake test, other times the engineer does it to ensure the brakes are adequate after calculating. To easily prove the brake upgrade is suitable.

I would consult the engineer prior to contacting Welshpool as my engineer done the application and only gave them the info they needed.

I used David at:

Kosteki is all but closed,

not sure there is much chance ofthem making a 40yr old car meet todays emissions,... thats pretty unrealistic..

road draught ventilation, no cats no fuel tank carbon vents,

The engineer did the brake test which is just a test drive but when I filled the application out I said it was a bolt on/strut swap with no fabrication needed.

When I got my ute engineered the process was you fill out the modification application with what you want to do they will send you back a letter saying that you can do it and what standards it has to meet with a list of engineers yours shouldn't be a problem with A15 with twins. You are better of getting the Tech section to tell you what testing it has to pass.My engineer wanted mine to do emissions test we argued for a week or so rang tech section and asked about it and said the test is not listed on approval letter you dont have to do it. Which was good I didn't want to spend up 2 grand at Kosteci's. With engineers cert guys at pits didn't bother driving it just had to wait 3 hours to write report
This was in 2008 the engineer was $440
