yeah i agree with 1200rallycar only when there is snow they will close the very top of the mountain off, around 500m - 1km from the summit. really nice drive. that road that goes from near the top of mt donna buang to healsville is a bit hairy, probably wouldnt recommend that if you car about your datto. haha.

the road from warby up is never closed, but the road that goes from near the top to heasville way is (this is gravel for some of the length)

the road we have used for cruises is the one from warby up

the only other exception being if there is snow at the top of the mountain.... they will close off a gate or two before the top and they do tobogan runs and stuff up there

wondering if someone can confirm whether or not the actual road up to Mt Donna Buang from the Warbuton end is closed over winter ?
google maps is telling me it is but i dont remember it being closed at any point when i've gone up there before ?
