mcdat i actually gained room in the ute when fitting the seats as they have a very thin back
i will say that they are a prick to get in and out of but once your seated its well worth it! the room and support they give is a must if your doing any sort of motorsport event. if its anything but a daily driver the advantages definately outweigh the disadvantage of falling into and climbing out of the seat, and you do get used to it quickly anyway... the entry level cobra and sparco are almost the same, even in price. i just found that i had more shoulder room in the cobra's, here they are in my ute .... ![]()

I am just installing some Cobra Suzuka Pro's at the moment in a 1200 ute and dam they are wide. I have had to make a new tunnel to fit the seats in...I was going to make a new one anyway because it needed to fit the tailshaft for the 13B this little ute has. The shoulder touches the door right where the lock is.
But DAM!!!! they look magic.

Hi Ange had a look at the sparco sprint v and the cobra monaco they are very similiar, did u loose much space when fitting the seat.Dont want to put myself much closer to the steering wheel, can u get shorter boss kits.

velo milano's are a fairly small unit, smaller than the sprint V. but wouldnt be much good in a ute, as they have a strange headrest that leans back to much.. i love my velo milano but havnt used it in my 1200's yet, but i do have a cobra classic in my ute, easy fit and a small unit that fits fat kents like me easy! but it can be a bit hard to get in and out becouse of the room in the ute and my massive steering wheel.
FIA & ADR are two different things. as long as your engineer is happy with the seat and the way you mount it, that is all that realy matters. also an ADR approved seat means stuff all if its not mounted in a way that complys with adr..

Hi guys and girls posted a thread about race seats a while ago, just wondering has anyone put velo milanos in their car? wondering if they are going to be to wide at the widest part of the seat to fit in. The height isnt a problem just think they might be to wide as stated. Can anyone give me a brand that they have in their car that does fit,i guess i could give them a call on monday to find out the dimensions.Fia approved doesnt mean ADR approved does it.
