It helped Brett, thanks for that. Ive got it wired in with the original horn, which is about half the size of the one you gave me. Its only just loud enough to hear it over the engine noise. Ill get it back to you once I fit the new air horns since I know that you spent some time fixing it up. It works perfectly. Now why doesent it surprise me that the thread turned to mud once Levey and Unfamilia turn up. It was only a matter of time till the gutter folk turned up and discussed my horns. shhessh!!!

I had to disconnect mine for RWC, then found out they were rooted anyway :( the stock Hilux horn is embarrassingly weak so watch finger.
Ive seriously considered mounting them in the 1k the amount of times I have been nearly run into by oblivious barge (SUV) drivers but If I ever get any hassle about the noise of my exhaust, im going to aim for the "its a safety feature" angle...either that or get a little orange flag like the cyclists have :/

My exhaust is loud enough without fitting trumpts, although that does sound intresting.
It seems that proper air horns are the only way forward. Time to get the design and engineering boots on. Bescides, a resivour of compressed air tank for the pootrol wouldnt be that bad anyways.
