Hey Matt, good luck with the sale. I wonder what motor your going to put in the coop next?

I have seen this A15 engine go on a datsun cruise i went on. i was cruising in i think (Deions 120Y) looks the same, is that Trav's 120Y he sold off ??

Anyway good shell and good motor. if you need to keep it learner legal then this motor will keep you happy for a while.

Hey Dion, sent you a PM- SU's = smooth and responsive on a mild motor, Webers/ Dellortos = power on a worked motor.

This motor is a bit beyond SU's in my opinion they won't work due to the large cam size. Also you would need a GX- SU manifold for the SU's to bolt up to this motor as its ported to GX inlet port size.

Hope this helps Cheers Matt

and do you reckon that SU's will run better than the weber's, because i was told that SU's are the best carb for a A series engine

Dion :)

120y is late model a12, dizzy under cyl 3 not cyl 1 as per early a12 in pre 74 datsun 1200's

Hi Guys,

Will bolt straight into a 120Y, will need late ute crossmember to fit a 1200, or very slight mods to a standard non- late ute crossmember.

well that depends, if it's early A12, slight modifications, if it's late A12, direct bolt up.
