The difference between these A14T carbs and L18T carbs are very great.
For one thing, there is the price. He's asking double what L18 twins go for. For another thing, these are emissions carbs, while the JDM L18T flat-top carbs are not. Either way they can be made to go well.

Why so dear? Because they are EXCEPTIONALLY RARE Carbies. It also seems there are no buyers for them at that exceptionally dear price. Very good used Twin Weber sidedrafts go for that price, twin Hitachi/SU generally sell for half as much.

Without the factory air filter they are worth $300-$400 at most. They still won't sell.

The results suggest they were overpriced.
The auction ended with 0 bids. It has been relisted for $300 less http://www.ebay.com/itm/110793401416 These are a nice set of A14T hitachis, regular-oval sized and were ex-rally car usage.

That throttle plate is interesting with all the air biased at the bottom so could be the ultimate modern SU development.
$600 sounds fair considering Kadrons and bike carbs can be made to look and go much better. You can view topic.
