Battery (with 2000 RPM)12.5V This 13.5V means the alternator is working. But the Voltage is not getting to the battery. Check the wire between the A terminal and the positive battery terminal. You will find one of the connections is loose or corroded. You can test the voltage at various places along the wire to see where the V is stopping.

Hi Guys
Since my b310 alternator got worn bearing i put my b210 alternator to the car that time my car battery was almost dead so gave it a jump start with my b210 battery that i recharged since it is lying down without using, checked the voltage as per below Battery (without Starting) 11.5 V Battery start(idle) 11.5 V Battery (with 2000 RPM)12.5V Alternator (A) Terminal Idle 12V around 2000 rpm 13.5V After keeping car about 5-10 minutes idle i could start the car without jump battery. Checked it in the morning it started with first key but felt battery was not having a perfect power . what do you guess ? suggestions please ? thanks regards sumith

Yes, since they are both the same, you can interchange them.
No, a noisy bearing race does not cause a charging problem. Just a noise problem and eventually it will seize up and stop turning. FN types use an external regulator -- it may not be working correctly. To test, charge the battery or swap in a charged battery. Then start the engine and using your DMM or Voltmeter, measure the voltage at the battery terminals. It should be between 13.5 and 15 volts. If it is around 12 volts it is not working at all. If the voltage is higher than 15, replace the Voltage Regulator If the voltage is low, check the voltage at the alternator A terminal and the case of the alternator. If that is correct, there is a wiring problem.

Alternator Upgrades, although it doesn't answer the question.
Your B210 probably has the LT alternator. Your B310 may have the LR alternaror, so see Hitachi_LR_Alternator Look at the ones you have on the back: Is it stamped FN or LS by the connector?
