They are different boxes. 60L is a dogleg, 60A is straight pattern.

Both are overdrive. Gear ratios are slightly different but nearly the same.

See 5-speed Overview

I was under the impression that 60A and 60L were some ratios.
but someone on here will know for sure.

spinning shaft it felt like 1:1 5th, but probably need to mark splines and spin a few times, cause if its over driven will only be like 1.03 or something?

"Standard shift pattern"... Does that mean it is an overdrive box ?
I have a dog leg 5 speed ( 1st is back and left )
Are they the same box ?

Cheers

Probably worth pointing out that the 60 series clutch release lever is different from the 56 series. This has been the source of much confusion.

Got the box out.
its a 60A (standard shift pattern)
selects nice and tight
out of sunny coupe only done 126km (or miles?)
no shifter assembly, no throw out bearing/lever.

Clean example, been in storage just over a year, but out of running car
(although I havent driven car as brought by itself)

Some minor surface rust on input shaft, but nothing major.

Good to go, just top up the oil and fire your shifter & throw out arm off your 4 speed at it.

delivery 3-5 working days ex: NZ

Hi guys, decided to sell my other spare 5 speed, need to further fund my coupe project.

Removed from running car (1980 Sunny coupe) and put into dry storage.
will try and get it out at the weekend and take some pic's.
cant remember if its a 60L or 60A , will check when I get it out from storage (hopefully over the weekend)

Located in NZ, but will do for AU$750 delivered to your door.
