What happens with the wave energy generators and pontoons once glabsl warming raises the sea levels swamping the setups? More emery and resources need to be used to relocate them as the tidal patterns will shift meaning they have to be moved from that location or worst case left to rust under sea level and new ones made?

Fortunetly Don that stereotype view put into the minds of most of the world for decades by the controlled media is actually incorrect thanks to EV enthusiasts who have forced scientists at the World Resources Institute to dispel it once and for all by extensive research. Yet it was only mentioned in a few global publications as it suits the energy big wigs.

As recent as the start of last year studies have been conclusive that EVs using coal energy are still 17 to 22 percent more efficient than the best diesels.
Lithium has picked up with demand there are now processing centres being constructed globally.
I prefer lead acid as they are 105% recycleable that been alot of waste from industry from mining contains lead in the sludge and fluke.

If you follow the research into mining, transporting and refining of fossil fuels, Powergrids are more efficient in transporting the energy required by Evs that are from 80 per cent efficient up in its usage.

Australia a Solar hot spot for the world, SA also has hot rocks for thermal energy, aussie designed wave/tide energy plants are amazingly the best in the world and gov hasnt bothered to help there so the inventor went to the UK where they are finishing the largest wave/tidal energy plant in the world.

We have to evolve somehow the drudgery of a constantly failing society and world will lead to more efficient ways to live.

edit* Theres a 1200 ute EV project on the Wurzel linky

Surely what needs to not be forgotten is that it is still not a 'Zero Carbon Footprint' approach as unless you are charging it off wind or solar power you still have to mains charge it at a cost to the atmosphere and what does it take to make, and break down the batterys and technology once it has run it's course. Whilst exposing ourselves to battery technology, how long will it be until we evolve into the aliens we believe have been visiting us? D has already started.

First R/C I have seen move like a spacecraft.

AHAha! scaled up RC technology :) maybe you can do the solar charging also :)

I saw a citroen 2cv converted that did 60kms and weighed the same as the factory model yet accelerated at 3 times the speed.

Gov and Big wigs couldnt let Serbian technology rule over Edisons as that would ruin cartels.

With high Oz dollar, Lithium batteries are getting cheaper however I would have loved Zebra batteries before they were bought by GE the Rsholes never to be liscenced for EVs. The Zebras used molten sodium aluminumchloride (NaAlCl4) cheap as chips but now only used in remote locations for telco and other comms bases/antennaes etc would have solve base load energy storage issues of wind or solar hands down. Wasnt the most powerful battery for EVs but young technology and even Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz had EV prototype limos using them.

haha so true, hadn't even thought of that!
Seriously ppl should be approaching engineering companies for sponsorship if they have the smarts. Maybe its even the direction our automobile manufacturers could (should?) be looking in, what have some of them got to lose ey?

Makes you wonder where we'd be if Nikola Tesla, hadn't been written out of the history books :(

Ive started with a 7.2v 1/10 Datsun 510 the other day(expensive enough!) ...Maybe just gradually step up the scale ;)
