Smoke and oil-fouled plugs are solved by new rings and new valve guides & valve seals.

So get new rings & gaskets, and a have the head checked out.

I just want a good engine. The A14 in the the car has fouled the plug allmost straight
away aftter the last time i pulled it out to clean.
Iam just sick of geting under the bonet all the time and i have had these datsun,s for a long time and never spent hardly any thing on them. Dont get me wrong thay allways have been on the road. And i dont want to send any more than i have to i just think if i did spend i bit of $$ on it i woundent be under the bonet so often> and wouldent have worrie about the cops seeing all the smoke out of my car

Seems that no one here has purchased an engine kit from lotus61963.

While we're on the topic, a rebuild kit is rarely neeeded for an A-series engine. Usually just an overhaul is needed -- Rings & Gaskets. Most times the bearings are just fine, you can check them with plastigauge. Pistons and oil pump rarely need replacing unless they are damaged. The factory service manual contains the procedures and specifications for inspecting them.
