Those are Nissan part numbers. But they are not rare, all the usual aftermarket companies make them too.

For USA CA18DE, they have 180, 190 and 195. Hot thermostats are favored here for the heater, it gets very cold in many areas so they need a hot room heater.

Nissan thermostats for 180SX:
* 21200-V0201 82C/180F
* 21200-V0206 OPTION 88C/190F

same as E15/E16, CA18DE/CA20S, Z22/Z20, L24E, Nissan, Subaru, Isuzu

My l series did similar, runs cooler on freeway but in traffic will get around 88-90deg c
But LPG runs hotter too

its about 195 200 max in trafficw on highway or driving round is about 180-185. last time repco only had a listing for a 195 thermostat. is there another one that will fit for a180 temp?????

That's normal. 192 was optional for Datsun 1200.

You can fit a 180 to keep the oil optimum temp. You dont' want to cool the oil too much, so if you fit an external cooler make sure it has thermostatic control.

if thats farenheit thats fine

that equals 90 degrees

sounds quite hot for a normal running temp, but if it doesnt get much higher thats fine, if it was going up to 95 degrees plus i would definitely be worried

sounds like you need to buy a cooler thermostat really though, then your motors normal temp will be a bit cooler, which allows for a bit of heat build up sitting and traffic lights and stuff

my ca is running at about 195 an and was wondering if thats normal. i vaugely remember trying to buy a thermostat for my old ca a few years back and i think all i could get was a 195???? thermos kick i around ghen too... is this ok ok.
