1200rallycar can you post up some pics and part numbers please. I would like to do this to my car as it needs retractable belts that won't stick out and hit the base of the seats. Well done!

installed mine today, found a kit at rare spares which was handy, came with three plates with nuts to suit welded on. used one plate for each side.
I took the rear interior trim off and drilled a hole in lower inner panel, mounted inertia pack so that it sits inside the interior trim, and the rare spares plate sits just under the trim (hidden by the rear seat) i then threaded the belt through the hole where the ash tray normally is and replaced the top mount with the connection that comes with the retractable belt, and also replaced the floor mount and the "plug" job done pretty much, was a fair bit of mucking around including taking out front passenger seat to make access easy, but they are sooooo much better than the original bolts, didnt really check time but around 3-4hrs including stopping for lunch from go to wo was 150 for two belts plus 25 for 1 kit from rare spares

thats why I bought the offset version which I think was around 10deg or maybe 20deg.
Worked for me off the original mounting point for the front belt. Only downside I saw doing it this way was the upper mount was actually lower then my shoulder, but it didn't bother me when driving.

two reasons really, yes hits the seat, but also the lower mount is roughly 300mm forward of the top mount, the retractables lock up at any angle more than 2 degree off vertical, so the retractor pack needs to be directly below the top mount point

why doesn't it fit the stock location? hit the seats?
you should reinforce a new seatbelt mounting point with plates 50x75x3mm iirc. often come supplied with seatbelts/harnesses.

bought some as per part number listed above, probably doesn't list 1200 as they dont fit using the stock mounts
easy to adapt by drilling a hole in the inner panel just in front of the rear seat (remove rear trim to do so), but not sure the legalities of making your own seat belt mounting holes i didnt shop around for prices, bought at bursons for $150 for the pair one advantage is you can mount the coil pack inside the rear quarter instead of in the rear footwell, this makes it quite neat if you can find a nice plastic trim to feed the belt through the rear trim, i am going to do it this way when i find some nuts to suit the bolts that come with the seat belts You can view topic.
