Or adding a little weight, a matteress and a passenger (not me) might be in order for winter
 Its most likely your shocks too like you said 40 years of action needs replacing

Whats happening here! I missed out by the sounds of it :) - She feels a little vague in the rear definitely need the short shockers as Im bottoming out quite badly now :)) - Bilsteins ummmm sounds like a plan!
the hurricanes are out and 14inch steelies are on atm, looks like the watas are going to go on next but need some 175/55/14s
