If cleaning fuse box contacts dosnt work then best to put in a relay and just use the standard wiring as a trigger only, the old wiring is not in good condition anymore

Did you clean the contacts in the fuse box aswell?

if you are using non standard head lights (eg above 55watt) then that could explain it. when i upgraded my headlights to 100watt, i melted my fuse block!

Hello, i have an 1973 datsun 1200 sedan and having some trouble with my fuse block. Once i turn on my light switch on (tail and head) those 2 fuses start to get real hot(ranging 80-100 F). Also the fuel and temp gauge start to increase. I've checked all my 12volt source/grounds and cleaned them through out the entire car. All the wiring to the lights are fine. I even bumped the amps from by 5 for each fuse, 20amps-head and 15amps-tail, which seem to help out a little by not getting as hot. My charging system is good as well. However i do have multiple stuff unplugged like my entire heater system, seat indicators, dome light, and cigar lighter. I need HELP! its driving me crazy. Could it be my light switch? how do i remove it?
