the object of this exercise was to keep it as close as i could to stock as it has been in the family from new still have the original sales receipt has only done 52000 kms

Just a personal opinion, but to paraphrase Greendog, less highness is needed. Only an inch or so, just to get the wheel arches down over the wheels & tyres. Otherwise, it's a really lovely little car. the yellow with the white vinyl roof is a good match & the 13 inch mags very period & old school. Now it needs a monster motor to make proper use of that innocence. Nothing like a wolf in sheeps clothing for a little fun
  Just get out there & enjoy every second with it, really.

very nice, is this just a back to stock restoration? Any mods??
What did you do to get half of the stuff on your engine chromed or have you painted it in silver? Awesome job!!
