Ok so it looks like im going to head to The Carbie Shop to get the carbies sorted when i get the engine finally sorted but i do have another random question for you A series brains out there

Im going to do a full 2" exhaust system on it and what im wondering is what the thoughts on running mid mufflers only are, i know they need decent back pressure for an NA motor but would you think that just a mid would be enough

Other thing is what brand mids are people running these days or is it more something that people have just been getting made up by an exhaust shop

Was that to do with the dog in the fight or the fight in the dog?

I used to Nav with a mate, we had a 1850cc 1600 going up against 2.1 Ltr 1600's and RX's we sometimes beat.

I haven't used them but Datsun Performance Centre in in Cheltenham

I'll vouch for Nigel at the carby shop (just of burwood highway near Knox city shopping centre). He fully rebuilt my twin gx carbys and is a wealth of knowledge on all things carby related.

As for Mammi motors, the Mammi brothers are in Somerville and are Datsun fanatics. There shop ute is a 1200 and they used to campaign a Sunny rally car. I know they are very familiar with Dellorto carbs as they tried to convince me they were a better option than the original gx ones I had.
