Good luck whatever way you go mate.
After all this the only thing stopping you is time and money, as well as the rest of us haha.
when you play with datsuns, sometimes it always seems as though its all just too much work.

Those carburetors are Hitachi sidedraughts, and are a licensed version of the british S.U. (Skinner's Union) carburettors, though the Hitachis are different in various ways.

The ones in this photo appear to be Hitachi HJL38 models. 38 mm throttle bores (1.5 inch). They were used in Japan and UK markets, also South Africa and other places.

The H89 head has smaller ports than a GX manifold.

You can buy an aftermarket A12 twin-weber manifold. They sell new in Australia with round ports, so you can use the original cylinder head.. Just slap it on and tune the carbies.

You can do it however is it really worth it to you? Like are you just doing this because u have the carbs and you'd like them on your daily? If so by the time you buy either an h89 high comp head or a GX head your prob looking at 750 dollars plus wither way u go... Maybe a little cheaper for the h89 head. And forthe manifold as far as I know they're pretty rare here in aus. If you really wanted to put them on, I'd sellthe su's and buy the other ones straight off of eBay for I think 600 buy now IF they're still on there....

Applied Model Code 220 is Datsun 510 SSS (L16 engine)

is it possible to get an Aseries manifold for it and then put it onto an a12?
Yes, those carburetors will bolt to an A12GX manifold. But then you need a GX cylinder head, as the manifold ports are larger than A14 or A15 ports.

The SSS carburetors are the same as GX carburetors, only the needle jet and dome spring differ. The SSS is slightly leaner than the GX.

Aren't they L series carbs ?
In which case you need a new manifold anyway

So find that first... then worry about the head
