Went & saw Richard at Retro Wheels a few Saturdays ago after an article in a magazine, he's still there but only does 3 piece wheels. he quoted $560 per wheel plus GST, but has all the styles available. I'll have to try that Mascot Wheels place as I want to get some 14x6 performance mags reco'd. Is anybody able to suggest other places that could remove about 5 layers of paint, then repaint & polish them, here in Sydney. Thanks in advance. Paul.

I know Tony simmons personally and the rest of the original team that used to manufacture the wheels here in Sydney [originally at Arncliffe, then lastly at Mascot] before manufacturing was shut down. My sister used to be his secretary at the Mascot site.
Anyways if you are looking for the smaller diameter wheels. Retro Wheels in Peakhurst Sydney bought and have the rights to the 15 inch and smaller simmons wheels. These include some of Tony's early designs in 12 inch [Hustler's from memory], 13's, 14's and 15's. The early 13 inch simmons are quite awesome but are expensive as they are made to order these days, typically in centre lock type fixing to the cars hub. These were mainly for formula cars. 4 and five stud patterns are availbe though. Tony has a big interest in Historic racing. Three of the original team started up their own business located in Mascot [Wheel Centre Repairs] and are the guys I take my wheels to these days as they know a thing or two about wheels, repairing them. I had my 3 piece Dunlup Potenza rims restored by them.

I'd prefer it as smaller as well, but still 16" with 175 tires would fit in the guards and not scrub...
