Thanks again SmUrF_11, good to get some feedback before one jumps in and buys gear.
Re. Adjustments, I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve, what you know and what supporting gear you have to measure your alignment. Bryan

if you buy all this adjustable gear it will cost $300-400 per alignment, so i cant see many people changing settings often
i think people tend to forget this, and if people put these in and dont get them accurately measured/adjusted they are just playing with their knobs then again most people that buy them are probably just trying to achieve clearance for wheels that have too much dish and stretched tyres anyway

Hey Bryan, I am sure Kmac has changed the way they go about supplying information to there buyers these days... If you are running standard lower control arm etc.... And you were to trim the plate I would be very surprised if you got more then 1.0 degrees in any direction... We have since made our own tops, achieving 4.0 degrees neg with standard 1200 lower control arms and 4.5 degrees castor with the maddat caster bars.... The limiting factor with most including the k-mac camber top is the top nut/bearing...
Most people set camber/castor and go.... The idea of adjusting it on a race track/street just can't see it happening my self, Happy to help guys

Thanks SmUrF_11 for the feedback.
I am looking at these for my coupe race car and was told by K-mac, when I rang up, that they would need to be trimmed so entered in known that was on the cards already. With that in mind, if you were to trim the plate would it habe been able to achieve the desired camber/caster settings? Good to hear the build quality was there, I'm looking at the bearing top version so not all that interested in rubber wear as indicated earlier. Thing i like over others is the ability to add some caster as well, ive had a noltec set on an older commodore I use to own and had no issues with them. I guess it would have come as a big shock though to find out you would have to modify them to get any resonable camber/caster results. Again thanks for the feedback. Bryan

I am going to keep it very brief and short... I don't really want to bad mouth anyone.. I brought a set of the " race/street " tops, the build quilty of the product is great.. definitely no issue with that !! the problem I had was once I received my tops we tried putting them in the car, no problems !! all fitted nicely... the issue was when we tried to increase negative camber... we could get 0.5 degree " MAX " I called Kevin at K-mac and talked to him about the issue, he was very helpful and talked me through some ways to achieve what I wanted.... still could not achieve nothing close to the claims on there website.. so this time I got my uncle to call him ( ex Indy car / V8 super car machanic ) Kevin was extremely defensive and hanged up on my uncle at least 3 times because " he was waisting his time " Kevin then said he would fax instruction on how to achieve max castor/camber.... which were not avaible on there website to be viewed before buying the kit... the instruction said " we " the consumer, the person that has brought the product ( $400, maybe more can't remember now )has to TRIM the plates to achieve more because it hits the inner wall of the strut tower... this is the part where consumer afairs was brought into the game.
on there website they state " 14 day money back on purchase price of kit " Kevin would not honour it !!! I ended up getting the money back... Oh and after 50 of these kits sold... I was sent drawings of there " new " datsun 1200 strut tops... so they 're designed this product !!! there is so much more I could say but I think that's enough...

sorry i missed the phone call smurf i left my phone at home. But i lie the look of the techno tuning i just like the idea of being able to change the castor as well then i wouldn't have to pull the wheel to far forward.
