Pm sent. Thank you

So in the wiki on the b310 conversion it mentions a condenser.. what part number is that?

Yes, also need the Rotor. You can buy Cap, Rotor and Coil in Australia. Cap & Rotor is the same as points distributor late 70s/early 80s for nearly all Datsuns. Coil from early Pulsar will work.

Cap & rotor set: Bosch 06054
Cap: Bosch 03107
Rotor: Bosch 04095
Coil: Bosch 00200, Nissan 22433-H7280, Hanshin CIT-30, Hitachi STC-30

I would not use Bosch HEC715, it draws more current than the specified high-energy Bosch 00200 coil.

And keep in mind that sometimes you get a bad part from the parts store, but they do guarantee returns.

Did you get my PM?

would this be the setup I'd need to buy to get it all sorted?
Cheers,
Tom

would this coil be the right 12v no ballast resistor high output coil?
Bosch HEC715

Cheers,
Tom

Thanks DD I have a mid mounted distributor on my engine at the moment so I guess it makes the swap easier!

Thank you again for taking the time to help..

Would you happen to have a part number for a coil that would suit if I wanted to remove my resistor?

Condensor is not required with electronic ignition (although one for radio frequency suppression may be used).

The condensor part number for early 1200 is here: Distributor

Sorry I meant B310! apologies! thank you so much for all your help!

are you happy with the setup on yours? My dizzy is getting a little worn anyways I think this might be a good chance to change over..

would you happen to have the condensor part number?

Pertronix is very reliable.

310? Do you mean B310? Because Datsun 310 is something else. Read about the B310 electronic ignition parts here, including Cap part number: B310 Electronic Distributor Swap

but the 310 is a direct swap using a stock setup and then could eventually replace the coil.. would it be more reliable? but I'd love to know what new coil part number I'd need to buy for the 310 swap if possible?
