Use the tightening specs for the bolt you are using. Early A12 head bolts have "12" on the head of the bolt and are not as good as the A14/15. The A14/15 bolts have a "13" on the head. The "13" are better. The "13" bolts will accept 54 lb-ft where the "12" bolts only 42 or 43 lb-ft. [Check the torque spec for "T" bolts.]
If using the ARP studs, follow the directions. ARP gives different tightening specs depending on if the nut/bolt uses ARP lube or something like motor oil. I re-use "13" style head bolts if they are in good condition. Peter

Cheers. Looked at site and they do A14 head studs. I'm pretty sure they are the same. Now should I tension to A12 or A14 specs?

ARP does not sell head bolts
A15 uses the same bolts as later A12. Just make sure thet are the strong Cromoly V bolts, marked with 13 on the head.

I'm looking for a new set of head bolts for my A15. I live in australia and can't seem to find any. I snapped one tightening it yesterday. I used the tension settings for A15 but this motor has an A12 head and weaker bolts. I realised all too late. Am i better off getting A15 bolts and if so where from?
