If u lived in wa i would just say some borrow mine when you need it. Possibly freight back and fourth would be cheaper than buying one

I never had a drama with the thickness I could cut with the plasma cutter. Make sure u get a pilot arc or u won't be able to go through painted or rusted surfaces without having to grind some of first to get the arc started... My cutters cut through 12mm steel with no dramas. I would say if your looking to do continuous work as in hours and hours of cutting buy the best machine you can afford. But for occasional use the weld smart ones are ok. My grandad had a scarp metal business and he burnt a plasma cutter that I got him out in 2 months. But he also used it like an oxy all day and use the torch to knock the cut pieces off
hence it didn't last long

depends what you using it for but in my opinion their only good for thin sheet metal. with the three in one machines you'll have to be careful because i think if one function stuffs up you can't use the other functions i could be wrong tho??? as for the torches they give you they are #OOPS# your best of going and getting a quality one, thats what i did with the ebay tig welder i got

I have bought 3 weld smart plasma cutters... I have had a fair bit of success with them. Although I had the first few that were released and the torches were #OOPS# and I had dramas getting spares.... I have a weld smart tig welder Aswell. They are good for the price

Thinking of going halves with a mate on a plasma cutter, not much of a budget so just been looking at Ebay so far
He likes the cut 40 series by mshto or weldsmart. I don't mind the mishto 3 in 1 tig cut arc CT 312. but just want to use for cutter really. Any one had experience or used one of these? Cheers You can view topic.
