Post an ad in the Classifieds section, I've seen a spare one for sale on eBay as well. Someone will have one spare for sure.

Australia 1200 switch differs from all others, at least for the early 1200s. The dash lights won't work if replaced with a Japanese switch, but you can splice the extra wire to the Green/blue output wire to make them work.

Check out bprojects website or eBay should have one or
Newdatsunparts.com

Or if all else fails try Graham's Japanese wreckers in Sydney just do a google search for him and he will have one and send it your way hopefully that gives you somewhere to start

dude, if you can find any 1200, 120Y or even a clapped out Sunny in a wrecking yard here, well I suggest you sell the info, not give it away for free.

The bloody things are rarer than rocking horse poo here :(

I'd get one from the wreckers.

That sounds a bit out of my league, electricaly. What I would like to do is just ditch the switch and put in a simple on/off toggle, but like I said, I want a new (or working) switch to try out first and see if it is actually the issue.

A Nissan parts dealer can give you the part number.

Or just wire your headlights on full-time from the IGN circuit. No light switch needed in that case.

rather than start a new one, I will hijack this thread

How in sam hell can I find a part number for a std 6 pole RHD light switch? Pretty sure mine is kaput and I want to try and get my hands on a new one.

Also, if there are any auto sparkies in Perth looking for a cashie, hit me up via PM. This no headlights caper is driving me fkn insane
