Thanks 1200rallycar i will look into after market seat before i head out to the wreckers might save me a trip. I definetly want to stray away from the 120y seats though as much as ide like to keep it true to its original form the seats just dont work for me.

Camry seats are comfortable but not sporty.
You can make the 120Y seats lower by removing the rails and making them fixed-in-place with 4mm adapter plates.

most aftermarket seats sit lower than originals as they have a shorter firmer padded base
these days places like autotechnica do a range of seats that suits smaller cars as well, so if you look at aftermarket be sure to look at the smaller overall dimensioned range

Thats a shame about the height factor but as long as i can keep the height where its at and not increase ile be happy comforts more important anyway. Thanks for the feedback i have a guy that can cut a adaptor plate if need be so ile have to make a trip to the wreckers and see what i can find ive been told there are seats out of a "deluxe" model camry that are extreme comfort so see how we go.
Thanks :)

None will really sit lower due to the runners they sit on but any modern seat could be made to fit.
Im using Subaru liberty ones in the sedan, or my old sedan now. Pretty comfy. Need to make done 4mm plate adaptors though. Otherwise in my Ute I used kb laser seats, only required redrilling 2 holes on the runner. they were comfy but not sports driving supportive. Sat slightly higher too.

Hello,
Does anyone know what kind of front seats would be a straight fit or a rather easy fit into a 120y wagon. Im looking for seats that sit lower than the "originals" and you can sit back into, something with abit of a bucket feel. The biggest thing is comfort and height the original seats are murder on my back and sit too high for me. Any ideas? You can view topic.
