yeah we have rules about that stuff too, though none of my mates have ever been pulled up for ripping it off, though it is required for a "road worthy" (that thing that says your cars not a heap a poo and that you can legally register it)

I do not know what is ther going on with a catalic converter. I do not know about Australia, but in US,catalic converters came in cars after 1974,so if the car is a 73 or earlier model, there should not be a catalic converter. I thought non of this crap was used in Australia,am I wrong? Do you guys have to use a catalic converter, air pump, egr valve, air diverter valve, etc for smog ?

Mikali, is the breather pipe on the rocker cover and the breather on the side of the engine connected to your air cleaner. I found with mine that the side one came off one day and all I could smell inside was exhaust fumes.
.
I had a webber on mine and now have twin su's and find that when I give it a bit of a serve it stinks inside too. It is more prevalent when I have the window down and when the tarp is on.
regards
Kel.

Hi Mik old cars that run on super dont use cat converters. Only unleaded cars do. Make sure your firwall is sealed off to the cabin to stop fumes getting in and also check your exhuast for leaks. Mine also stinks but only if I flog it pretty hard for a while.
Cheers andrew
