But they are considerably wider than the 1200 rear axle assembly. If you find one that is only 2" wider, by using high-offset wheels on the rear it can work out well.

1200 Utes are all H165, it is a complete bolt-in IF you use the ute driveshaft and use spring plates & u-bolts.
B210 COUPE axle assembly will bolt into 1200 COUPE. I think the ute driveshaft is needed.

B210 h150 rear axel may be easier to find, they take more abuse than the h145

If H145s are cheap, use them. If it breaks, replace it.
Welding the differential will cause it to break faster.

Are there datsun 1200 utes in your part of the world? The diff in those are a H165 and strong enough. Fairly easy sway to.

that's why I mentioned it only makes a peak torque at 4200rpm. Showing its an engine that needs revs to make anything happen, not a torquey motor. 1NZ-FE makes 107bhp @ 6000rpm and 103ft/lb @4200rpm. Its not all that much really. B310 A15 makes 83bhp @ 6000rpm and 88.3ft/lb at 3600rpm. 910 SII Bluebird L20B makes 96bhp and 114ft/lb for comparison. Maybe the H145 will be borderline, but no more so than a 80rwbhp Aseries. I've had one and never had diff problems. Hell, I've turbo'd A14s in front of H145s and not blown up the diff - just gearboxes, tailshafts and pistons! I don't think the concern about the diff is worth stopping the conversion. Try it and see how it goes. Or track down a B210 H150 for a little more strength, assuming they're available where you are.

Maybe I've been lucky? It does whine. Not quite enough to motivate me to swap it over yet though.
