5 bearing motors? A12s are five bearing motors. They got forged cranks too, not like those cheap new motors!

if what you're talking about is a B310, the crossmember won't bolt into a 1200, I used this crossmember for my A15 but had to modify it. You may find it easier to just make new engine mounts. Has anyone tried a B210 120Y crossmember, it would have to be pretty close, but I think I remember someone telling me it doesn bolt in. The B120 roadstar/bakkie crossmember IS a bolt in and allows the 5bearing motors to bolt straight in

BTW, I have changed my avatar from a Volkswagen to a 1200. Now since my 1200 is not presentable at the moment, I used a picture of another car (Gil). This car DOES NOT BELONG TO ME. It belongs to Tim and I wouldn't want anyone thinking otherwise.

The crossmember swap would be a good idea if you want to use an A14 in your 1200.
And yeah, get the whole thing. Quote:

Ok, thanks dim. Once I can get this guy to give me a price on everything, that's probably what I'll do. (if funds allow) I'm really stoked to put in some work on this thing. I've been driving it around stock for about three months. Once again, thanks for all the info. It is mucho appreciated.

Like I said before, I'm not mad about the misunderstanding on ownership of the Chickenhawk. I just wanted to clear the issue up
As for the 210 wagon, I'd say if you can drag the whole thing home there are lots of parts on that you might want. First off, I would suggest the entire front suspension. You'll want everything: lower arms, steering knuckle, strut tube, T/C rod, brakes... everything from the crossmember out. This fits rather nicely and gets you bigger strut tubes and brakes. The rear axle would be a good plan too as it would give you bigger ring and pinion and bigger brakes. I have never done a crossmember swap, so I don't know if that will help you. I'm sure there are a plethora of other things you could canibalize, but I can't think of them just now. Once again, I'd say drag the whole thing home.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I was looking through the auto trader last night and found a guy who is parting out a 81 210 station wagon. He also has an A-12 and TWO A-14's. It's like twenty miles from here, but I can't wait to check it out. Any special parts I should get off this thing? If it has a manual trans, I'll definately get that, and also the radiator.
