Hot spark sells the same units as me!

All those big companies throw their name on the product and sell them for a mint. Mine are quality assured with no name packaging and of course, much cheaper.

Hot-Spark Ignition uses the stock distributor. It can use the stock 12V coil with ballast resistor OR you can fit a high-energy EI Coil without ballast resistor.

The units chris is suppyling appears to be the same units as what Hot-Spark sells.

does it use the stock dizzy and coil?

I can verify that at 8000 rpm these still work beautifully ( just make sure your flywheel bolts are properly torqued) :(

The detail is the black collar, do not force it but pay attention to the cam lobe alignment with the impressions in the collar.

Yes, regarding the fitment, the black collar must be installed all the way down over the cam lobes of the shaft.

Just would like to publically thanks Chris Lyons for organising that bulk deal on the dizzy kit. Got mine last Thursday, installed it Friday, no real problems except the timing kept retarding back to Zero. This was because the plastic bit on the dizzy shaft wasn't all the way down, due to the front screw having an earth wire under it. As this earth wire is for the points it can probably be removed, but I moved it to the other screw, just in case it was necessary. This allowed the plastic sleeve to sit down further & now it has stopped retarding the timing.
I then found out the muffler had collapsed & was choking the motor. So I was forced to fit some extractors & a 1 & 3/4 inch exhaust system I had in the shed. Much better.
