Ok thanks , oh so supercheap do sell them ? I'm just trying to find a alternator that's internally regulated and will replace my current one which is also internally regulated , but is on the top left not the bottom right cheers

ALX237 I'm not familiar with.

Bosch AL237x is a rebuilt Hitachi LT-150, externally regulated. See http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawi ... r_Upgrades#Hitachi_LT-150

Bosch AL237X with FN wiring. Too large to fit the Datsun 1200 brackets & fan belt, but can be modified to fit.

That is a Prestolite model I think.
* If it has terminals L & S, it is internally regulated
* If it has terminals F & N, it is compatible with Datsun 1200 cars

Why not just get an alternator for the Datsun 1200? There are many compatible brands, for example Supercheap sells them.

Hey guys just a question , my alternators done its self and I wanted to get a new one ...can I use the Alx237? And where could I get it from ? I'm in qld australia , but ill buy online if I have to ..is the Alx internally regulated ? My current one is , it is also mounted on the top left ...thank you
