#4 Re: powervalves

I bought a tomco kit a week ago, there was no powervalve in it. It did have a carb center top gasket a float inlet valve seat & needle and an accelerator pump plunger in it the rest was not of much use: a cotterpin, a few gaskets and a couple check valve balls. Disappointing for $25, but the gasket was nicely cut.

Most carburetors use a power valve. New ones come in a Datsun 1200 carburetor kit.

1200, you referring to an A12 A-series

Aren't powervalves [reed valves] for 2 stroke engines, never heard or read about then being used in 4 stroke engines.
