I believe it is a total bolt-in, as the late ute (1978-up) dash is already wired like the square-gauge dash.

Hi Guys,
Just acquired a datsun 1200 ute dash (round dial mph) just wanting to know if its as simple as taking out my rectangle mph dash and plugging in the Ute one? i have seen in tech wiki that the coupe dash needs to have wires swapped around but don't think i saw anything about the Ute dash into a sedan? any info would be great :D Fonz
