you could try fitting a "helicoil" thread repair insert, a good engineering machine shop should be able to do the job

Unfortunately you will most likely have to replace the body as what the problem appears to be is the thread has been ruined.
I think you would be best to replace the unit or replace the body.

Ihav a weber 32/36 but the only problem that i have with it is the idle mixture screw is mest up.when i push firmly it goes in then threds but the mixture is off an the engine cuts off at that point and when i back off the screw it pushes back out just siting there
