I only paid $350 for my extreme sprung button clutch for my ca18 which has held out for 3 years driving it on the street and drag track and a fair few power cruise/power play events and that's with 18x10 inch tires on the rear. Also now have 380hp at the wheels and had 330 before for most events

I agree Bert especially with a 1200, a stock pressure plate would do with that Ogura orc clutch I put up, its just that a stocky these days comes at around 400 for a ca18det so spending a few quid more would also guarantee the 300hp Chris is chasing wont burn it.

Gotta say,I,m constantly amused by people that are sucked in by "name brand" after market equipment, however I mean no offence. As a lot of folk know we have a Sports Sedan B310 sunny sedan with CA18det running on slicks but with a humble 250hp at the wheels,it's been in the car now for 4 solid seasons and has just been removed for a freshen up and some forged internals, injectors and more boost.
The car weighs 800kg with driver and all it does in 1st and 2nd is light the rear tyres and this with a standard clutch and pressure plate! On removal after examination we could put it back in...but it will be kept as a spare and a new unit put back in.So I have to ask why would anyone spend up to a grand on a name?I may be just lucky but surely the race track is a true test!?

Ask him for $600 as you need a spring type ceramic plate
that is easier for the road than all out racing. clutch plate can be re-done to spring type for about 120aud from most clutch brake reco places or ebay 2nd link below http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=31735 http://www.ebay.com/itm/KUPP-STAGE-3- ... 85009d45&vxp=mtr#shpCntId
