Try carby that could need a rebuild also the inlet manafold could have a leak or crack in it causing it to have poor air fuel mixture

Replace the engine next, and it will run once again.

Or test the parts and replace only what is bad. The ballast resistor is not used while ranking, so you can ignore it for now. Does the distributor turn while engine is cranking?

Check that the carbon tab in the distributor cap is touching the rotor button.

What about the ballast resistor, have you checked that it is still able to pass current through?

Hi Guys, im at a complete loss, i picked up a 120Y the other day and drove it home after about 15 mins the car starts to jerk and cut out and then stops. Ive taken one of the spark plugs out and turned the car over and there is no spark on the spark plug....so far ive replaced....the coil, the leads, the points the plugs, the ignition condenser, distributor cap, rotor button, im getting spark at the end of the lead from the coil to distributor but its not getting to the plugs...any ideas?
