They are that friggin slow you would be able to take in a lot of scenery .

Would make a pretty wicked jap version of an old race car hauler, but at one ton carrying capacity you'd kinda be sticks with a 1000 and your tools and tyres

I think they are only rated at 1 ton so a navara or old hilux would be better.

$1000 for one of those seems a lot of money for one of these.

So just get a good used J15 out of a Datsun 620. You might have to swap manifolds or oil pans, but these engines are not rare.
