Pedal feel is heaps better.
It is stiffer and harder to push the pedal in but over all braking of the ute has improved. The old master was leaking fluid badly and even though all other parts of the brakes had been replaced it still would not pull up anywhere near as well as my old 120Y. The ute is now safe to drive and I plan to give it a good run this weekend. AWESOME!

The size difference will not affect the way the pedal feels drastically, it'll probably be a bit heavier & the travel will be a bit shorter. The numbers on the side refer to the internal diameter of the master cylinder, with the one you have now be 11/16's of an inch diameter, & the suggested replacement being 3/4's of an inch. The bigger the number, the more fluid there is in the master cylinder, so for bigger brakes you need bigger master cylinders (on the inside). I've used up to 1 inch master cylinders, I was going to suggest you get the Sunny master cylinder, which is 13/16's, & change you rear wheel cylinders to match. You can get 11/16 & 13/16 rear wheel cylinders, the first for front disc brakes, the second for front drum brakes. If you're doing the master cylinder, it's wise to do the back brakes, too. Be sure to say in a big voice that your ute has a brake booster & disc brakes when you go to the parts shop, because most utes seemed to be unassisted drum brakes, but it sounds like you have it pretty nuch under control. Good luck with the project.

Gudday
Thanks for the advice so far. I checked the tag on the booster and it has 2 different numbers on it. Both numbers are heavily worn so these codes could be wrong. The tags says bendix master vac unit number 2210021 lot number 60? could possibly be something else as the sticker was knackered. Datto man advised to get the JB1181 master which is a 3/4 setup whilst the one currently on my ute has 11/16 stamped on the master? Is this going to affect the braking of the car or just the way the pedal feels? I would really prefer to get the jb1181 as it is a lot cheaper than the jb1117. Great advice so far guys.

Buy a B310 master cylinder at your local auto parts store.
1600 has a totally different master cylinder.

Looks like a Datsun 610/180B power brake setup: M45 booster and 11/16 master.
