Spend the $ on a good used A14 and fit a DGAV Weber if you feel the need.
Bang for the buck you'll be way in front.

An opinion from one of the more experienced members would be able to give you a better idea on that.
Since you're still using a standard block/head, increasing the flow will only do so much. You'll be limited by how much fuel/air the engine can burn, all you're doing in making sure it can get the maximum it can use. I would have thought something like 10% extra in some areas of the rev range would be likely. If it were me, I'd be sourcing a second hand downdraft option ($100) and saving that money for working a new engine.

I haven't brought one, but your link is broken. Correct link is here:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DATSUN-4CY ... ories&hash=item2596a3fa27 I don't see why this wouldn't work. If you're still using the stock head off the A12, it should fit fine.

Hi all,
I am looking to get a bit more power out of my 120y, I have got a set of extractors and will be getting a new exhaust. I am looking at a new carb and found this one on ebay, http://www.ebay.com.au.au/itm/DATSUN- ... ories&hash=item2596a3fa27 Before I spend $750 I was wondering if anyone had used one of these and what they are like ? Thanks James You can view topic.
