I have
Mine didn't need any clearance... lucky I guess
Maybe my modified rods are the reason
Anyway... minor thumpy thumpy and your all good

Shut up flanders whalebone is right, ribs in sides for crank. A14 sump will hit with an a15 crank.

they are not the same,
same bolt pattern but an A15 needs more clearance for the internals.
Not sure about A14 though.

A15 is different to accommodate the crank rotation...has notches on the side
