I picked up a set of ex race 260z brakes today, glad they fit in my 13" rims!

Here are the special Datsun 1200 alloys.

The S30 (240Z/260Z/280Z) alloys are larger at 9".

If you use the Bluebird drums from a H190 S3 then all you do is fit the alloy drums from the 240 or 260z as they use the same parts as the bluey.
This is what Steve Newing did for the H165 rear end on the 1000 coupe that he used to campaign and from what I heard its virtually a bolt on setup. The alloy drums are available from Z wreckers and gumtree.
Last time got quoted 30 a pair from Zworks in Brighton Melbourne but not hard to find.
Drums only provide a small % of overall breaking but when setup properly are awesome for hand brake turns or corrections for cornering, understeer and forced oversteer when power is not always there :)

Ok, so I always disc rear end but drums are sounding pretty good now too.
About the 260z finned drums are they easy to get and any mods required D?
Here is what I have:

See Rear Brakes for a list of parts. B310 has the auto-adjusters.

rear disks are overrated, I find drums better for streeter and track well Z rear drums in alloy and finned are legendary with great hand-brake turns for rallye & possibly drift as well

Thanks D, I might just bolt up the standard setup until I swap for discs.
