Flares will be remove , I have a set of new fenders and a 72 1200 sedan for extra parts , the seats I got them from a guy he gave me the whole interior and the 3 piece grill for $250

I have owned 2 71 model utes and both had H145 in them. 4.11 ratio.

The seal size is 30mm yoke x 45mm extension housingx 7mm deep or I put in a 10mm it was all they had in stock, any bearing and seal shop should have one for u to try it will only be 5-7 big ones.

With the original ute rear axle, a coupe driveshaft won't bolt on. It sounds like someone swapped rear ends. That's good as the original, while tough, is heavier.

So possibly the engine is too far forward. It should only be 25cm between firewall and back of head.

Or maybe the leak is because a bad rear seal.
