Temp gauge not working The cause could be: * Bad gauge * Bad sender * Bad wiring * Bad connection Test the sender. With ignition OFF, pull the wire off the sender. How many ohms are there between the BAT negative terminal and sender terminal? Good sender will read 20 ohms fully warm, 50 ohms lukewarm (50C/122F) and maybe close to 0? ohms cold. Compare the reading to the one you just replaced.

Temp gauge not working

My ute temp gauge is not working.
Fuel gauge is working. Have replaced the temp sender the other day and the gauge read halfway as soon as I turned ign. to reds. Discovered the hose clamp on thermostat was touching the sender wire giving me resistance and false reading. Fixed the short to the sender and now back to no reading on temp gauge. Any advice on what might be the problem here is appreciated You can view topic.
