Found it here.

Yeah ddgonzal the silver top and blacktop 4A-GE motors for Japan came with quad itbs. The sprinter and Corolla boys use the on their engine swaps.

Just though it might be a cheap way of efi, with easy to source second hand parts.

4A-GE was the twin cam, EFI engine. It came with a single throttle body. The 4A-GE 20-valve engine had ITBs, but aparently it was only sold in Japan.

Wasn't there someone putting itbs off a 4AGE on one some where
I don't recall hearing about anyone trying to put 4AGE ITBs on a stock A12. Chris Lyons designed an adapter plate for oval-port heads, so maybe it would work with a stock A12 GX engine?

Stock carb is hard to fault for stock and even higher comp shaved head with electronic dizzie and headers.

Recently tested an A12 ute with 77mm bores, higher comp and simple mods above
and was a pleasure to drive with plenty of zip using stock early carb.

If you are wanting more hp working an A series for NA power is super pricey while boost is a much better value avenue with the Sykine kit he is developing.
