Your driveshaft won't fit. The input yoke is larger, it is the same as larger Datsuns (510,620, etc.) Old shafts (510) can generally be shortened or lengthened.

#1 63 series five speed conversion questions

My four speed is stuck in fourth gear, so I'm looking at swapping a five speed in. A guy near me in Houston Texas has a 63 series for an A14 that I can get for a reasonable price. From looking at the wiki it looks like I need a different drive shaft. I'm seeing it mentioned that the 63 series is shorter than the 56 and 60 series boxes. Will the shaft yoke still slide on? If so I could get mine lengthened. I won't be able to find an auto shaft around here. Also the clutch fork comes out the right side by the starter, while mine is on the left. Could I just run a longer hydraulic line? I know I'll have to fab a mount, but if my driveshaft won't fit then I won't buy it. Could someone in the know fill me in?
