CA18DET is a four-cylinder. So get a tacho that matches aha. But it has "DIS" ignition, which some tachos can't handle without an adapter.




Dropping Resistor should be bolted to a metal surface to shed heat. But the resistor pack is not internally grounded to the metal case, the pack is grounded via the four ECU injector wires.

sorry guys its a ca18det, also does the CA18DET Dropping Resistor For Fuel Injectors need to be grounded to the body?

Auto Meter is a favorite of many on here. They have version for 4-cylinder, 6- and 8- as well as Rotary engine. Works with points ignition or electronic ignition.

But by the assumption that your using a coil still you need to find an electronic coil ignition tachometer which can be found in many different stores i.e auto meter

In regards to size its best to remove your old one and measure the back mounting and also the front face and thus go store hunting online to find something that meets your requirements there are so many different designs to choose from.

I personally changed mine to the GX tacho as it registers to 8000RPM and has redline limits in the tacho it looks alot nicer :)

replacing the original tacho with a aftermarket unit, any ideas in the right style and brand to fit in same socket....pics fella's of what you got....cheers
