Oh, by the way you can update the title. Click EDIT in your first post and type it in. Maybe others will chime in too on how to tune the Dellortos

The Dellorto DHLA are easy to tune
* Start with a Fuel pump pressure test to test pressure & volume * If pressure & volume checks out OK, check the Float Level of each carburetor * Once the float level is within spec, perform Adjustment Idle Speed and Mixture Adjustment 0. Warm engine fully 1. Adjust curb idle speed to 750 rpm 2. Slowly turn mixture screw out until the engine speeds up, then starts to slow down 3. Screw in (clockwise) to lean the mixture down to 725 rpm Do the same for both carburetors. To get a 'feel' for this adjustment, turn the screw by half turns clockwise and anticlockwise till you hear the engine speed up and slow down. Then fine turn with 1/4 turns. Do this repeatedly until you are confident of the results

I have a set of twin dellorto side drafts and think they need a tune or something they are coughing and spluttering then the engine dies after a few seconds?
I dont know where to start with them and heard they are bit of a mish to tune? You can view topic.
