it is a low-density fibreboard? the side trim (where the speakers go) is more medium-density

What's a dash insulator? Do you mean the MDF with insulation on the back that goes on the firewall?

Does anybody have a template for the dash insulator? I don’t have one so I’m looking at making my own. So I need to trace around someone’s existing pieces or unless there’s a template out there somewhere.
