What I would do is put some blueing on the teet and spin it around for a test pattern

did you clean it? could be just machine marks from factory
I had some like that and if you look at the teeth gears you can see very sharp corners rather than round. Wear prob is no issue by what I can see.

Does this diff look overly worn?
